QR Code Link to This Post I have numerous one gallon nursery pots of ruellia brittoniana, or Mexican petunia plants, which are cuttings from plants in my yard.  These have narrow green leaves and small petunia shaped flowers of either pink, purple, or white, from spring through fall.  The plants eventually reach a height of 2-4 feet (these are not the dwarf variety) and up to 2 feet wide, and are perennial here in Southern California.  They respond well to pruning, should they get bigger than desired, and will grow in sun or shade (but bloom better with at least partial sun).  They do fine with average water, particularly when growing in the ground. They will also grow in shallow water at the edge of a pond or water feature. Care should be taken when planting in the ground, however, as these plants may spread over time and become somewhat invasive if they like the growing conditions. In this case, some type of root barrier might be desired to curb the spread.  I prefer growing mine in pots, and in this situation they do best with regular watering.  They’re particularly attractive in a large decorative container on a porch or patio.  I’m asking $4 per plant, or 3 for $10.  I currently also have a couple of large (5 gallon) pots of the pink flowered plants for $10 each.  Cash only.  If this listing is up, they are still available, so no need to ask.
