So many memories. But I have to let my baby go. I have another beauty in the garage and the wife can’t let me have two. This is the best Monster you will find on CL: not only have I replaced the rear sprocket to 46 teeth (from the default 45), but the front sprocket has been updated to 14 teeth from the factory 15. The result of both of these together is the bike accelerates hard from a standstill - you can wheelie this now! Also, stop-go traffic is much better because of reduced clutch feathering. BRAND NEW BATTERY (replaced in May). The belt was changed 2k miles ago. Great condition. Oil, tires, and brakes are all updated. Service performed at Moto Club di Santa Monica or Beverly Hills Ducati. I have all service receipts which will be handed over with the purchase. Many custom parts, including Termignoni carbon-fiber exhaust (that throaty roar) with racing ECU. This alone cost $1600 (I have the receipt). Other updates include Rizoma mirrors, folding AND adjustable levers, unique black “race” crankcase on one side, frame sliders, gold chain (only about 2k miles on them), TechSpec tank grips, safety red reflectors on the wheels and more. “Light pull” race clutch which I replaced just a few years ago - this makes a HUGE difference! Also including the stock exhaust and spare Darmah edition body parts for my asking price. I babied this bike. Don’t be fooled by the "high" mileage. Ducati desmodromic L-twins are race-proven and durable. Besides, I would take an excellent-serviced high-mileage motorcycle over a low-mileage one. Standard specs: Engine: 8v V-Twin, air-cooled, transverse 90-degree L-twin, desmodromic SOHC, 2 valves per cylinder Horsepower: 80 horsepower at 9,000 RPM Torque: 50.6 lb-ft at 7,750 RPM Bore and stroke: 88x57 Compression ratio: 10.7:1 Wheelbase: 57.1 inches Rake/trail: 24 degrees/3.4 inches Seat height: 30 inches Weight: 355 lbs (161 kg) dry Fuel consumption: 45 mpg Top speed: 128 mph 0-60 mph: 3.16 seconds Front brake system: Two 320 mm discs and four-piston radial calipers Rear swingarm: Dual-sided aluminum
